After thirty years of exile in India, Dilgo Khyentse Rinpoche returned to eastern Tibet in 1985. Here, two monks playing the kind of oboe called ‘gyaling’, welcome him as he prepares to view the ruins of his monastery in eastern Tibet, which was completely destroyed during the Cultural Revolution.
